A program of reunifying previously incarcerated women with their families and the community.
Building
Bridges Inc. intervention and referral program works with previously
incarcerated women and their children who have significant barriers
to re-entry into the community after incarceration such as homelessness,
addiction, domestic violence and mental health or physical disabilities.
Some of the services provided include financial literacy, shelter
referral, job readiness, life-skills training, recovery therapy and
removing barriers to the family reunification process. The youth
component offers addiction education prevention and early intervention
as well as a variety of other services.
Building Bridges Inc. provides services to women
who have been incarcerated for one year or
more. The assessment services will start 1 to 3 months prior to release date. The
